I’m an experienced sports marketing communications professional.
“Practical Dreamers Do Not Quit”
That is the motto that I’ve adopted and live according to. I learned a long time ago that in order to reach my goals, I had to work hard, by any means necessary.
I know that I have the ability to achieve my definite purpose and therefore, I demand of myself persistent, continuous action towards its attainment.
Three reasons why YOU should hire me:
1. I ‘m determined.
I’ve dedicated my education and professional experiences to the Sports Business industry, collecting a multitude of skills and abilities with every profesional role, internship and volunteer experience as I possibly could… and I’m continuously learning. I’ve had the opportunity to work in different environments – from marketing communications to sports communications with agencies, collegiate athletic departments and other entities.
I’m experienced with graphic design. As the landscape of Marketing Communications professionals changes, so does the skills set and responsibilities. I know my way around Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as Dreamweaver. I can create everything from websites, brochures, business cards, media guides/kits to flyers, html e-blasts, sponsorship packets and PowerPoint presentations. If I don’t have my hand in designing it, I can surely support the overall direction, and have done so in the past. The most important part is that I’m always learning and developing this skill through challenging projects and pushing the envelope of creativity.
2. I get things done.
I’m creative. In essence, most companies seek candidates who can provide forward thinking/innovative creative ideas to move the needle for the client’s business. Over the years I have been an asset in challenging work environments where I was able to assist colleagues in a collaborative effort- pitching ideas and seeing projects progress from idea to implementation. These ideas have come in the forms of special events for premium clients, improved communication tools to enhance usability, and retention plans to maintain current business. My skills in graphic design have afforded me opportunities to work on a freelance basis producing marketing communications collateral for the clients and businesses in order to enhance the overall look and consistency of their branded materials. Samples of this can be found in my portfolio.
3. I’m detail-oriented.
Attention to detail is highly important, but the ability to balance the strength is also just as important. I like to ensure that the little things are given priority when planning events or working with clients, but I can also step back and look at the big picture. It’s my goal to always present my best work as it reflects on my character and the brand of the organization…and clearly, I want the organization to be successful.
What kind of position would I like? While I can’t provide the specific title at this moment because the landscape of the industry is forever evolving, I do know the responsibilities I’d like to have. My interests lie in executing marketing communications vehicles (digital and print) to motivate clients – fans, external vendors, etc.
Are these the only reasons you should hire me? Of course not! In fact, there are plenty more reasons…so let’s discuss it!
